Niagara County Residential Household Hazardous Waste Voucher Program
The Niagara County Department of Public Works is introducing a limited program available to Niagara County residents(only) to bring up to 50-lbs. of acceptable household hazardous waste, at their convenience, to Hazman (177 Wales Ave. Tonawanda NY)

Program Instructions:
- Complete the registration process, agree to the program requirments and select a date/time to drop-off you items.
- Print confirmation e-mail and/or save a copy to your phone/ devices ease of access on day of drop-off. Proof of residency is required (i.e. driver license, utility bill)
- Prior to accumulation and loading materials into vehicle, review for items that are subjected to a fee.
Eligibility and Exclusions: Please review prior to registering your voucher.
- Participants are responsible for all expenses related to ineligible materials and weight exceeding 50-Lbs.
- Covers a maximum of 50-lbs. of eligible materials at NO COST.
- Excludes all Latex Paint, Waste Oils, Alkaline Batteries, Tires and Electronics.
- Limited to one voucher per Niagara County household.
- Must be redeemed within 72 hours of registration.
- Does not include, waste from buisnesses, institutions and non-for-profit organizations.
- Does not include material over 50-lbs. unnacceptable items and multiple vouchers cannot be combined.
- Founding provided by Niagara County Department of Public Works and NYSDEC.
Unacceptable Voucher Items/Additional Fees
Exceedance over 50-lbs. subjected to $0.75/lb.
Latex Paint $0.75/lb.
Alkaline (Single Use) Batteries $0.75/lb.
Electronics $0.75/lb.
Fire Extinguishers $15.00/unit
Propane Tanks $5.00/unit
Tires $10.00 each
Smoke Detectors $10.00 each
Waste Oils $0.75/lb.
Ammunition/explosives/bio waste NOT ACCEPTABLE
